Head of the Class Education Centre’s commitment to help achieve academic success remains strong. We understand that preparing for EQAO testing can be overwhelming and stressful. Our EQAO prep programming is specially designed to help students prepare for EQAO testing.

HOTC EQAO programming will include:

- 1:1 instruction with a certified teacher

- practise test reviews using Ontario curriculum guidelines and resource books

- study habit tips

- test anxiety tips

- test writing tips

Introducing "Programming From Scratch" Computer Workshop for Kids!!!

"Scratch" is an introductory course in computer programming. This unique course is not offered in the Ontario curriculum. "Scratch" opens up the imagination to see the endless possibilities in the world of computers. It is designed to help kids gain skill in logical, mathematical, and critical thinking which helps them to make better decisions at home and at school. "Scratch" includes focused lessons on important skills such as how computers work, the fundamentals of programming, math, drawing and painting with graphics, playing sounds and music, animations, recording sound and pictures (requires laptop with working microphone and/or web-cam), designing games and puzzles and problem-solving. Kids learn by working on projects of their own choice with the help and guidance of an expert computer programmer and tutor.

Introducing HOTC Homework Club!!!

HOTC is proud to offer students a place where they can come to complete their homework and have a teacher on site to answer any questions they may have or give guidance where required.

- 2- 1 hour sessions per week*

- Tuesdays 4-5pm & Fridays 4-5pm

- Minimum of 2 students to a maximum of 5 students per class with one teacher in attendance

- if no homework, practice worksheets will be available

- Cost:** 1-2 students $20/hour (per student) + HST

3-5 students $15/hour (per student) + HST

*Float days are not offered.

**Pre-payment is required at the beginning of the month for the entire month.

Please note: HOTC recommends our regular tutoring sessions for optimum results. Regular tutoring includes 1:1 sessions, individualized programming, detailed progress reports, homework support, teacher liaison and 3 float days per year.
